If only the sounds of Komplete 12 were grittier and nicer sounding so I could justify the upgrade from 12 Select to get Kontakt. I appreciate the offer of your license too. I like a lot of the grittier rawness of the past and the sample anything attitude and the synths sounded better too imo. I don't want high recording quality sample packs that sound like a polished turd. I do like some new music too, Anthony Rother etc but it's mostly the underground. The 80's electro, hip hop, funk, 90's breakbeat, techno eras. Plus everybody knows about Datafiles, Goldmine etc, but these are lesser known as far as I know and hopefully should have some good stuff on them. It's better than a few funk packs etc that i've bought though.Įarly sample packs are where it's at for me as they took some of the good bits from existing recorded music that was good as it was easier back then. I bought Queensbridge Story recently hoping it captured the 80's hip hop Queensbridge sound, but it can't compete with real old funk, rock and other sources breaks, horns, strings, synths etc in those early packs. So to use said disks in an actual AKAI sampler or the like you either need to use burning software that can burn iso's to disk, plus a burner and appropriate SCSI optical drive or use a device that can emulate a SCSI cd drive (possibly SCSI to SD/CF) and load the. formatting and data layout) that you either burn to a CD-R using software such as cdburnerXP which reconstructs the disk from the image and then burns it (unlike a simple data copy which just copies the files as they are) or using a virtual drive to mount the file, making it appear as if it's a removeable disk when actually it's just a computer file). iso files should be the full disk images (so everything that made up the original disc, inc.
